Nothing like a few days in the sun to make you realize what's more important. As terrible as the rumor mill can be, I suppose there are worse things than strangers speculating about who's dating who and the latest romantic item. It's harsh, but there are always worse things to say about someone. I wonder if anyone else noticed the theme? Even in the worst of the gossip, there was still one overwhelming undercurrent, one continuous theme. Love. At the risk of sounding like a total Daughter of Aphrodite cliche, that is what makes the world go round. |

Hollywood never ceases to amaze me in how outrageously sexist it can be. My agent tried to talk me into auditioning for the role if they actually go as far as re-cast Snow White; I told him I'd rather spend the rest of my life in a cardboard box on the street. He told me I'd be stupid to turn down a shot like that and I might as well sign myself over to the D-list now. In this industry? That might actually be a blessing. I think maybe it's time to take a step back.

I don't usually pay attention to the rumor mill, but we had a good laugh today when we read that apparently I was up for the part of Zoë Nightshade? Even though Titan's Curse isn't even in production yet. This is news to me! Anyway, it's obviously not true, and even if it was Silena would never allow it in a million years. Something about how love isn't worthless, which I happen to agree with her. Not to mention I'm not the least bit Persian, which I think is how Zoë's described in the books? Who knows though, apparently our hair and eye color change every other chapter.
I'm Lucy Winters, though maybe some of you already know me. I've been a reincarnate for three months, but I've been on location up until a few days ago, so. Better late than never, I say! It was a weird adjustment to make in the middle of filming for a movie about The Peloponnesian War. If there are any Percy Jackson reincarnates out there, Silena would really like to say hello. |
